We would like to tell you a story about the people that make our Normann Copenhagen design.
No insiders
First of all we don´t have in-house designers at Normann Copenhagen. What unites us is a love for a particular product and that we share some of the same DNA when it comes to passion, having fun and doing business.

A lifespan
Our youngest designer is Britt Kornum. Britt has not even turned 30 summers yet, but has already proven that she is a great design talent and a very nice person to be around. Our oldest designer is Herbert Krenchel, he is 87 and is launching his latest product within a couple of months.

Pro. VS amateur
We don´t have a politic at Normann Copenhagen that you have to be a professional designer to work for us. In fact some of our best selling products are designed by individuals without any formal design education. However we encourage young designlovers to learn the trade from others. This is also why we participate in the “Time to design – new talent award” as well as coaching design students from the Danish Design School.

Global thinking
Growing up in a very small country you learn that if you wish to succeed large scale, you have to collaborate. Our designers live all over the world. This means that we get input and inspiration from many different angels. It´s really interesting to find out that you have more in (design) common with a person from Taiwan or Greece than you do with you next door neighbor.

For us great design has nothing to do with age, sex, religion or anything else – all that matters is that we fall in love with your design and that we got great chemistry.
