Vacation tip #1 – Compact travel

We will post a series of travel tips during the spring. The first in the series is all about less is more.

If you prefer to bring your own home when traveling, there is only one way to do it.
Go Airstream.

The Airstream trailer is truly a part of the American history. We especially like the version designed by Christopher C. Deam. See his talk about the design process of his Airstream on TED.

This shiny trailer is bound to give you the perfect frame for a compact vacation. If you need inspiration, just visit this amazing blog about  traveling in the US - and remember that the smaller you live – the larger the world seems.

Do remember to bring the Camping series. Not made for outdoor use – but made to bring some of those sweet summer memories back indoor.

p.s. if you just want to stay at home treat yourself to the ultra compact mini vacation. All you need is a good chair, a washing up bowl and some hot water!!! Example here and here.

We love great design

Normann Copenhagen is a way of living - a mindset. We like to think of it as putting on a pair of glasses and seeing the world in a different way. We love to challenge the conventional design rules.

On this blog we write about our design, the designers, and interesting things we spot around our hometown - Copenhagen.

Enjoy
