My name is Louise and this is the first day of my internship. I´m going to spent the next 3 months walking the floors of Normann Copenhagen. Went to bed late last night, tired but excited. The day started out good. After lunch my supervisor/ new colleague asks me, “So how many Normann products do you have at home?”
I quickly searched my brain, couldn´t think of anything. How can you be working in a company like Normann Copenhagen and have an interest in design and not owning a single one of their products? So then he asked me another question “so what would your first product be?” I didn´t even have to think, because I already knew. The Washing-up bowl.
(Not that it’s going to make my dishes any cleaner or easier to make, but it’s just so pretty)
wrong answer Louise.. the correct answer was ‘Jensen Bowl’
Well i guess its all a part of the bigger question, what came first the egg or the hen, i mean its not really any use to have the lovely “Jensen Bowl” if you don´t have anything to clean it in after using it…

Why would that be a must? I’m sure that you have your own ways and perspectives, without ever needing to own any particular brand of products in order to be a great designer…
Piffle and hogwash. The egg came first louise. Wrong answer again Louise, you lose.
