Ceci n’est pas une…

This is not a Washing-up bowl!  You may think it is the Ole Jensen’s rubber bowl – but its not! Sounds strange? Sometimes a product is designed for one purpose, but depending on the circumstances used for something completely different. Ole Jensen may have designed the rubber bowl for washing up, but it’s now being used for many different things… see examples after the click below.

Ole Jensens bowl used as a foot-bath, for toys, magazines or even to cool Champagne. Guess what the MoMA cafe´2 in New York use the washing-up bowl and Rocking glass for (Click here for result).

You may also think this is a Cognac glass – for drinking cognac! But put it in the hands of Alex from Switzerland and she will use it for a yummy Indonesian dish or even a Blueberry banana smoothie.

It may be called Herb Stand but at the Normann Copenhagen HQ we also use Jakob Heiberg’s design for our office supplies.

We love great design

Normann Copenhagen is a way of living - a mindset. We like to think of it as putting on a pair of glasses and seeing the world in a different way. We love to challenge the conventional design rules.

On this blog we write about our design, the designers, and interesting things we spot around our hometown - Copenhagen.

Enjoy
Normann Copenhagen
