We love our Swedish brothers and sisters in the North. They have given us so much like Volvo, ABBA, ACNE (Jeans), Absolut Vodka and Swedish Match… just to name a few. However, there is one thing our dear Nordic friends will never learn: making a proper hotdog! Last week we attended the Stockholm Furniture Fair, and while in town, we spotted this sign.
1. Mustard & Ketchup… a simple classic.
2. Cucumber Mayonnaise… a truly scary combo that will leave you with a breath to die (for).
3. Boston pickled cucumber… not sure our friends in the US recognize this version.
4. Special… a.k.a. the Bikini-Special which is a sausage with two buns of mashed potatoes! We have no clue how you eat this thing!
5. Räksallad… why not go all the way with a combo of sausage and shrimp salad… at least it makes the sausage look a bit more happy!
We love to find the small differences between our two nations… just like the No Pole dancing in Swedish trains.
