A Danish WaterWorld

This Saturday Copenhagen experienced an extraordinary rainy weather, it rained and rained and rained and didn’t stop before after midnight. About 100 millimetres of water fell, which is a quite extreme amount for us Danes. Streets were closed and cars floated. The home guard, Falck and the Police had a really busy day and are still working to help people with flooded basements or other water damages.

This morning we got a brand new attraction at the Normann Copenhagen flagship store. We got a Danish version of WaterWorld – with a basement full of water. Only one sane thing to do – put on them stylish (and waterproofed) wetsuits and start “shoveling” water.

p.s. swimwear is no longer on sale!

Our staff had to find the right equipment, to get rid of the great amounts of water from the very rainy weekend.

We love great design

Normann Copenhagen is a way of living - a mindset. We like to think of it as putting on a pair of glasses and seeing the world in a different way. We love to challenge the conventional design rules.

On this blog we write about our design, the designers, and interesting things we spot around our hometown - Copenhagen.

Enjoy
