Danish Design Graduation 2012

At Normann Copenhagen we love to see all the new up-and-comming designers´ work. Yesterday we went to an exhibition at The Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts where all the graduation students display their final projects. Waow! We are looking forward to following them in their careers as designers. We hand-picked a few of the projects which we want to share with you.

“Hybrid” by Sally Xenia Christensen. She has integrated new digital techniques in traditional craftmanship of glassblowing. Very innovative!

“FKB-chair” by Thomas Skov. The chair is made for the library of Frederiksberg. We like the simplicity with a Nordic expression.

“The Additional Furniture” by Benjamin Kolstrup. He has worked with classic Danish furniture expressions from the 1940- and 50s and made his own reinterpretation.

“Small Living” by Elina Ochoa Cullen. A multifunctional furniture made of recycle plastic bottles. Very cool!

The exhibition will be open from the 28th June to 6th July 2012 and again from the 6th-18th of August. Location: Danneskiold-Samsøes Allé 51, Holmen, Copenhagen K

Are you planning on going there?
