Impressions from Blickfang

Last weekend the first Blickfang International Design Exhibition took place here in Copenhagen. We were there to see all the wonderful furniture, home accessories, jewellery and fashion showcased by lots of incredibly talented young designers.

Together with Eva Kruse, CEO of Danish Fashion Institute and chief editor of the Danish magazine Cover Man, Frederik Bjerregaard, our CEO Poul Madsen presented three lucky winners with the “Blickfang Design Award”.

The British jewellery designer, Bethan Laura Wood. Bronze winner.

The Danish company Manufakture won silver.

The jury had a hard time deciding on the winners because of the tremendous amount of talented designers, but in the end the gold winners by a unanimous vote was the Swiss design team Bertile & Mathieu.

Fredrik Bjerregaard, chief editor of Cover Man explains: “Especially convincing was their consistently cohesive concept. Their work was contemporary, full of humor, and even with a diverse range of products, the quality of work was very high”.

A sneak peak at a few of Bertille & Mathieu’s products.  The duo recently graduated from the University of art & design Lausanne and the Blickfang exhibition was one of their first. There were also lots of other inspiring stands and products at Blickfang. See some of them below.

We really enjoyed visiting Blickfang and wen’t home feeling very inspired. We can’t wait to go back next year!
