Our Sales Representative, Mads, just returned from an inspiring visit to Poland visiting both existing and potential customers. Mads visited a range of design stores and was astounded by the eclectic mix of old and new, the friendly people and the elaborate concept stores.
In Warsaw, several old factories have been completely renovated and turned into inspiring design stores. The concept store Red Onion is, for example, situated in an old lace factory.
Our Krenit bowls were beautifully displayed in Comforty.
Based in an old slaughterhouse, the Showroom Store maintains a raw, edgy expression with its large white walls and floors of cement.
The old meat-hooks serve as reminders of building’s previous function.
In a completely different setting, White Around is situated in a small brown-stone house, located in the green Soho Factory area.
In the retro-inspired interior, our Grass Vase, Heima Candlestick and True Feelings Candleholders were in good company, next to Arne Jacobsen’s Design Letters range.
Overall, Mads took home the impression of a land of contrasts, where old buildings reside next to modern sky-scrapers and delicate design is juxtaposed by raw, industrial settings. We look forward to returning and hope to see even more Scandinavian design next time.
