Weekend in Berlin: Design, art and diversity

Last weekend, our Brand Manager, Britt Bonnesen, took a trip to Berlin. This vibrant city is full of life, cultural diversity, creative minds and lots of exciting stores and places to visit, and we thought we’d share a couple of the highlights of Britt’s weekend with you.

First stop on the trip was Andreas Murkudis‘ very cool concept store, located on Potsdammer Strasse.

Murkudis believes that the true meaning of luxury lies in high quality craftmansship and the customer’s emotional attachment to the product. With the aim to awaken the curiosity of the visitor, Andreas Murkudis has carefully selected beautiful designer objects from all over the world for his store.

Britt warmly recommends anyone visiting Berlin to drop by the fascinating store. For more information, visit the website here.

Berlin is known for its many art galleries and in the same backyard as the Andreas Murkudis’ store you can find the galleries Blain Southern and 401 Contemporary. Both places have amazing art collections and each gallery has its own unique style and collection of artists.

In Berlin Mitte, Britt visited the charming R.S.V.P. store. The store was founded in 2001 and supplies fine paper and writing materials from all over the world, tempting you to write letters to all of your friends or  buy notebooks just for their pretty covers.

The fashionable yet cosy restaurant Borchardt is also located in Berlin Mitte. The atmosphere is relaxed and the menu is inspired by both French and German cuisine. All in all, the perfect place to end an amazing weekend in Berlin.
