Intense Black Brush Strokes

Our new Agnes vases has finally arrived in stores and webshops around the world!

They are beautifully decorated with intense black brush strokes, creating a beautiful contrast to the white porcelain. The vases are hand-painted, which makes every vase stand out as a unique design object.

Agnes in B&B Italia Home

The vases are designed by the Danish designer, Agnes Fries, who found inspiration in her home as a child which was full of canvas, paint and brushes, and also on her stay in China where she learned how to make brush strokes stand out visually using calligraphy techniques.

At first, Agnes Fries painted the bottom of the vases, until she by coincidence turned the vase around and immediately knew that this was the look she wanted, a perfect playful, unhindered interaction between the simple shape of the vase and the decoration.
