Olufur Elliasson is the Man behind the great idea: The collectively project. During the past week everybody in Copenhagen has had the opportunity to play with more than 36.000 white Lego blocks. The artist wants us to take part in the city we live in and to interact and share ideas with each other. I joined too - Rikke Hagen
Tokyo Eat is a restaurant with UFO-lamps and round tables. The funky placed is design by Stéphane Maupain. The food is modern with a mix between French and Asiatic style. Even the toilets very are special! I enjoyed my time there. You should try it. Address: 13 avenue du Présiden Wilson.

Take a closer look and you will discover that this odd looking thing is actually a hotel – located in Beijing. I like the fact that modern techniques have broken the normal design laws – however I’m not too fund of this result.

Maybe you already know his work. If not, I like to show you some of his sublime photos. He usually placed the subjects of his photographs against white or grey cardboard. The light came only from windows, to make a diffused light and to created volume of the objects. It is a very delight way to tell a story about form.

Should I go…?
Oh yes, I’ll take a little trip to Milan to figure out the design-worlds Mecca. I haven’t really got the time. Throw both runners and high heels in my bag. You never know what is going to happen…
I got invited to a press-conference with ‘Star Starck’ himself. I’m wearing runners. It gets crowded around him, the Press and all the others with Italian elegance and high heels. Starck is telling about his next big move…it might get big, he says. I catch a glass of champagne and a canapé. “Lucky you” is my reflection and then out into the city.
I work my way through the big fair wearing runners. It is overwhelming. It looks so easy. I wonder if anybody is thinking about the time it takes for the little things and strange experiments to get that far. One of my toes is killing me. Never mind. I’ll be heading down town. I’m staying right there in the center, with the pulls beating. So inspired by the lot. I’m wearing high heels. Now I really feel alive.
The day after, I’m in my runners again. I have met many dogs in Milan but I got very fond of one in particular. Fed up to a breaking point with design, heading home to DK. Now it is going to be nice with a cognac and my feet up.
Milan’s everything. High and low.

You buy a true designer bird table. Find the perfect place to hang it. Fill it up with nice designer bird seeds and then you wait…nothing happens. Birds do not care about design – I love nature.

Sometimes it’s the small thing that makes the big difference. This could be a simple picture of a nice castle. But then you discover a pink tree, and all a sudden you are in Wonderland.

First you take one of Denmark’s best food artists - Rasmus Kjær. Ad a beautiful Tapas plate designed by Rikke Hagen, and you end up with this yummy arrangement.
